Arina finds warmth and comfort in Ukraine

Three-year-old Arina and her family visited a heated mobile "Point of Invincibility" in Ukraine, where families affected by power outages can warm up, charge devices and access essential support, after spending more than three days without electricity or heating during freezing winter temperatures.
When emergencies disrupt children's lives, they need more than warmth and safety. Children also need opportunities to play, learn, and feel supported, helping them cope with the challenges they face.
"For children, the cold and darkness are especially hard. At home it's no warmer than 15 degrees. We dress her in layers and wrap her in a blanket, but sometimes it's still not enough. Here, she can finally warm up and play."
– Svitlana, Arina's mother
With support from UNICEF, children visiting mobile "Points of Invincibility" can access safe spaces with toys, colouring books and activities while their families receive essential support.
Like these child-friendly spaces, a Christmas Bundle can help provide children affected by conflict or disasters with opportunities to play, learn and stay connected, bringing comfort and a sense of normality during difficult times.
