Providing a school in South Sudan with clean water

Samara fills up her cup with water from the newly installed water pump provided by UNICEF at a primary school in South Sudan. Before UNICEF intervened, the borehole did not work, and students had to find water elsewhere. The school would purchase their water from a water truck, or if the water truck was empty, they would have to journey to a river and have no choice but to drink unsanitary water that would leave them feeling unwell.

Mary’s primary school is one of the 13 schools in her city that now has a minimum level of water, sanitation and hygiene services (WASH). An additional 15 schools in the country are lacking WASH facilities or facilities.

Increasing access to water supplies requires more than just building infrastructure. UNICEF is working to address safety, quality, reliability and sustainability to meet our goal of water services for all by 2030.

If you choose to order a printed card, you should allow 10 working days for delivery. While we process all orders as efficiently as possible, please note that we are unable to control the timing of postage delivery through Australia Post. For any questions about the delivery of your order please call 1300 884 223 between the hours of 9am-5pm Mon-Fri.
